Sky the Clown Freeware Utilities

The packages listed below are copyright-protected Freeware -- there is no registration fee and you may use the software as long as you wish. You may not sell this software. You will find complete license terms within each package.

These packages are no longer available. Somewhere along the line I lost my last copies of them. If I happen to find an old floppy with them I will put them back.

  • What Floppy Format? (WFF)
A menu for Christoph Hochstatter's FDFORMAT. FDFORMAT is a DOS utility which lets you format 3.5" disks up to 1.72Mb and has other nice features. One thing FDFORMAT does not have, though, is a nice front end - everything is command-line driven. So WFF fills this gap by giving you an easy-to-use pull-down menu from which you may format floppy disks.

  • What Tape Back-up? (WTB)
A tool to help you manage your back-up tapes. WTB shows you the total amount of data you will be copying, the number of tapes needed, which set of tapes to use, dates of last back-up for each drive and each tape, and more.

  • LastBoot
A small utility for people who use DOS' multiple configuration feature in their CONFIG.SYS file. This utility provides a valuable feature that DOS forgot: it changes the CONFIG.SYS DefaultMenu line to the current configuration (rather than always defaulting to the same setting). Very handy!
