Computer Requirements

Practically any computer can be used to operate our software. Anything from an old IBM XT to a modern Athlon will work fine.

The following operating systems are known to work well:

Windows 3.x, 95, or 98
MS-DOS 3.1 and later
PC-DOS 3.1 and later
DR-DOS 5 and later
Novell DOS 7
OS/2 Warp with DOS support
Macintosh computer with SoftWindows, VirtualPC, or equivalent MS-DOS emulator software
Linux using dosemu

Other requirements are minimal and include:

At least 450kb free conventional memory (expanded memory (EMS) will speed up operation but is not required).
A hard disk with at least 2MB free space.
Any type of monitor - colour, black-and-white, LCD, plasma, etc.
If you want to print reports you will need a printer. Virtually any PCL laser (HP-compatible), ink jet, dot matrix, or daisy wheel printer will work. PostScript is the only printer language not supported.

If you are using an older DOS computer you may be happy to know that CW Software is 4DOS-aware and has been tested with 4DOS version 4.0, 5.0, and 5.5. For Windows 3.x users, a PIF file is included.
